Goals and Aims
The Gambia Resource Page is intended to be an online depository of information
related to The Gambia. The target audience for this web site includes:
-
students and teachers wishing to learn more about The Gambia
-
past and future tourists to The Gambia
-
Returned Peace Corps volunteers and other peole who have lived or worked
in The Gambia
-
Gambians living abroad
-
researchers, linguists, and others wishing to study different aspects about
The Gambia
This web site is currently maintained by Momodou
Camara. Ousman Gadgigo and Dr. Madiba Saidy had also contributed in hosting the site earlier.
It was originally developed by Andy Lyons, who was a Peace Corps volunteer in
The Gambia from 1991-95. However many, many people, too numerous to list, have
contributed to the materials found on these pages.
Because many visitors access the site from overseas or via a modem,
I have tried to follow the principles of the Bandwidth
Conservation Society when designing the web pages. That's why you don't
see many graphics on these pages.
If you have comments or thoughts on The Gambia Resource page, you can make
them known by:
And don't forget, if you would like to get involved, there are several ways you
can help out.
