Volunteers Needed
Have you found this web site helpful?
Would you like to get involved in making it even better?
To make this the best resource of information as possible, we need volunteers
(that means YOU!) to help collect information on topics of interest to
visitors of The Gambia Resource Page. You don't need to know any HTML language,
just a word processor and a bit of creative energy.
Specifically, we need volunteers to help us develop:
-
more recipes, including Chereh (Futoo), Mbahal (Nyankatango), Plasas, and
Nyebe
-
a section for primary and middle school students (maybe called 'Student
to Student') who want to learn more about The Gambia. It will hopefully
contain an attractive mix of basic factual information, pictures of life
in The Gambia, a profile of a day in the life of a Gambian child, audio
clips of traditional music, wildlife, history, and other information that
would be of interest to young students. A lot of this information is already
on the web site, it just needs to be collected, filtered, and presented
attractively at a level appropriate to children who have never been to
Africa.
-
information for potential tourists, including lists of tour companies,
hotel contact information and descriptions, holiday experiences and pictures,
etc.
-
information about Gambian wildlife and natural resources
-
a section on Gambian proverbs and folk stories
-
other new content areas and sources of information related to The Gambia
If you think you might be able to help prepare material on one of
the above areas, please send us
a message. If you can prepare the basic content in a word processor
format, we can certainly do the formatting and put it on the web site.
By joining the Gambia Resource Page team, you can help ensure that this
site stays relevant and useful to people all over the world!!
