Termite hill in cemetary
Basse, 1992

This grave is in a Christain cemetary at the far end of the country. The juxtaposition of the brilliantly white grave and the large termite hill caught my eye. These termite hill are impressive and can be found throughout the country. They are hard as a rock and can be quite old. Some people pound the termite clay and mix it with water to form a water-resilient paint.
